Hello, sister! 💗 We’re excited to announce our NEWEST study launching this coming Monday, May 25th: A Modest Spirit. Let’s be real – modesty is oftentimes not a “fun” topic. We often silently groan (or maybe even aloud – oops!) when this topic is mentioned.
To be honest, probably the thing we’re most excited about during this study is taking a different approach to this topic of modesty. For one thing, there’s not going to be lists of what to wear and what NOT to wear.
That kind of thing seems to stir up lots of strong emotions – but the main reason is that we often aren’t being gentle and kind when it’s discussed. There’s a better way and it’s one I’m convinced that Jesus himself would have used.
We’re going to talk about hearts and attitudes. Because you can wear all the ankle-length dresses in the world and not have your heart right. (Maybe it’s even angry towards all the females who AREN’T adhering to your personal convictions.)
You can be covered, head to toe, but your immodesty might still be showing in your attitudes and behavior.
We’re starting at the very beginning (the very best place to start 😉) and working outward from there. Yep, we’ll help you define – or revisit – your own personal standards of modesty and the WHY behind them. We’ll also provide you with help for gently guiding your daughter(s) in choosing the clothing and behaviors that glorify our Savior.
