Ah, sanctification. What a big, scary word with sooome kind of religious meaning, right?? 😉 But what? What does sanctification really even mean?? Let’s try this on for size: “set apart for a holy purpose” or “made holy” (like God) or “set free from sin.” These seem like enormously important descriptions, don’t they?? It involves whether we are able to go to Heaven or not. So, obviously, it’s crucial that we understand the process of sanctification. It’s a good thing we’re going to look at it more closely this month with our April scripture writing plan. =)

But what fruit were you getting at that time from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
