December Scripture Writing Plan: Comfort & Joy

For as we share abundantly in Christ’s sufferings,
so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too.
{2 Corinthians 1:5}

When we were discussing our 2024 Scripture writing themes, we knew the best theme to follow Sin & Suffering was Comfort & Joy. As you go through Scripture, you see God’s comfort again and again. Jacob, Joseph, Ruth, Job, David, Elijah, Daniel… all of them endured a time of suffering, followed by God’s comfort. Even the nation of Israel, from the depths of captivity, received the promise of comfort and joy. That promise came in the form of Jesus.

Whether we choose to follow or reject Jesus, we will experience suffering. The only question is whether we will share in Christ’s comfort. This month you’ll write about the true comfort & joy that can be found in the Father. You’ll see how God offers a pathway out of sin and the suffering of this world.

Also, I want to remind you of our NEW Scripture Writing Tools for 2025!
