You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden…In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. -Matthew 5:14, 16
Being God’s first creation, light plays an important role in our lives as followers of Christ. Being a light in a world without it makes it hard for us to hide. We are called to be bright and conspicuous, which can sometimes show things in us we’d rather not share. However, through it all, God’s power and love can be seen through us as we share our light – His light – with others.
Join us tomorrow – Monday, August 12 – as we start spending time studying “Being Light & Salt.” This will be a “Mom and Child” study with specially made activities, lessons, and conversation starters to help you and your child learn together about what a Christian’s calling to be light and salt really means.
