Have you ever wondered why the Israelites had so many memorials, feasts, and holy days? God wanted His people to be continually reminded of their deliverance by His power. At first glance, it might seem excessive… until we realize that humans are extremely forgetful beings. That’s why we’ll focus on “Remember” as our scripture writing theme for this month.
Just as God wanted to remind Israel of His power and His promises, He wants us to remember the same today. The Old Testament memorials were a type of the memorials we have today of Jesus. Each week, we remember by partaking of bread and the fruit of the vine, which represent the body and blood of Jesus on the cross. We praise God in remembrance of Jesus’ resurrection on the first day of the week. These are reminders of how God delivered us from sin, from the adversary, and from death.
Alyssa puts it best, “This month, I am challenged to live in constant remembrance. To keep God’s words close to the surface of my consciousness and be present in the guidance of the Holy Spirit. I want to remember that who I am and what I do is through God’s power and Jesus’ deliverance. Will you remember along with me?”

2026 Scripture Writing Extras
The Behold Our God Scripture Writing Extras are live! We are excited to offer these extras as you prepare to write God’s Word in the coming year. If you’re already planning to write scripture along with us, this is a great way to take a deeper dive into the passages and themes. You’ll get a downloadable workbook with the WHOLE YEAR of scripture writing tools that you can print. (Which will be ready by Nov. 4) It includes a lovely cover page (which is perfect if you’re creating a binder to keep everything in!), ALL 12 of the scripture writing plans, special intros for each theme, 2 pages of questions (that we’ll discuss on The Ruffled Mango Scripture Writing Podcast in 2026), and monthly prayer prompts. PLUS, you’ll receive 12 BONUS smartphone wallpapers to help keep you immersed in each monthly theme. (These are great for memorization!) P.S. There’s a GROUP rate also, for those of you who want to share these with friends or lead a group or ladies class in the new year. 💕
By the way, those are the same Bible study tools that are found in our new Behold Our God Scripture Writing Journal on Etsy (including the prayer prompts!) – if you want everything already printed & bound, be sure to take a look at those!
If you want just the writing plans, but don’t want to wait for each month’s post? No problem! You can do 2 things – grab a 2026 Scripture Writing Wall Calendar or snag a digital download of the 2026 Behold Our God Scripture Writing Plans. There are INDIVIDUAL downloads and GROUP rates for those who want to share the plans with friends. Remember, sharing is caring. 💕 (See what I did there?)

Dear Mangos – I love your Scripture Writing Plans & have been perusing your Ruffled Mango website since the early months of 2024, collecting the pdfs of your monthly Scripture Writing Plans posted all the way back to 2018. Most months I have been able to find, but there are a few from 2018 & 2019 that have totally eluded me. Over & over, I have worked through the posts on either side of these months, but these particular ones always seem to be hopped over. I would dearly love to start using your lovely & obviously painstakingly & thoughtfully prepared & produced Scripture Writing Plans, starting with your 2018 year on January 1 of 2026, but would like to be assured that I actually have all of 2018’s Scripture Writing Plans before I start my own new personal writing year.
Please tell me how I may obtain the following missing months of my Ruffled Mango Scripture Writing Plans:
2018 – March
2019 – January, August, September, October, December
Are there links that would take me directly to each of their posts? Or pdfs I might be able to obtain another way?
I have now been subscribed since 12/31/24 & have been very much enjoying the ease with which I now receive each month’s new Scripture Writing Plan going forward. Thank you, thank you, for all you do to make these Scripture Writing Plans available.
Hello, Bobby! Let me see if I can find those for you – I do know that at the beginning, we didn’t have one for every single month and sometimes we recycled a few of them. Since 2020, I believe we’ve had a new one posted every month.
Apparently March 2018 was The Lord’s Supper, according to my list. I’m not sure why it’s not on the blog, but I just put it on Dropbox. Here’s the link: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/97scrd0gy9cs3dycct4rh/The-Lord-s-Supper-Scripture-Writing-Plan.pdf?rlkey=ggrhxc005xx54f8rjam6e1cwz&st=78xzieb3&dl=0
January 2019 was Sure of Salvation; here’s the link to the blogpost: https://www.theruffledmango.com/january-scripture-writing-plan-how-to-be-sure-of-your-salvation/
August 2019 was a special mom & child Bible study on “Being Salt & Light.” There was no scripture writing plan that month, I don’t think.
September 2019 we recycled “Beating Worry & Anxiety” from October 2018.
And I just have question marks on my spreadsheet for October and December, so I don’t think we had any then.
The good news is that we have SEVERAL years after that which are complete and ready to go, so you’ll have plenty of other options to choose from! 😉
