Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine. Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine!
Fanny Crosby, the renowned poet and hymnist, wrote those words in 1873. Fanny was blind from infancy and lost her father at only six months old. I can only imagine how she felt penning the lyrics to that hymn. Here at The Ruffled Mango, our hope is that this month’s Scripture writing plan will bring you blessed assurance from the Almighty God Himself through His Word.
This month you’ll write passages that remind you of God’s constancy and reassure you of His faithfulness. God never changes, and His love never fails. His justice never falters, and His mercy never ends. In a world where we can’t even trust the next day’s weather forecast, isn’t it good to know that we have a forever Father?
Podcast and Playlists and Prayer Prompts… Oh, My!
Just a reminder that there won’t be any new podcast episodes in July, but we’ll be back and ready to go in August! This is the PERFECT time to catch up on previous episodes on The Light Network or your favorite streaming platform. Speaking of The Light Network, all 5 of us Mangos will be speaking at the TLN conference this October 3-5, 2025. 💙 We can’t wait to ALL be together (it’s a rarity!) – AND to visit with all of the conference guests. 🥰 The theme is The Good Life: A Study of the Beatitudes. Find out more about The Light Network conference & register here.
Looking for music to help you focus on what matters most? Be sure to check out this month’s playlist on Spotify or Apple Music. 🎵
If you’d like to pray along with this month’s theme, visit Teachable for FREE prayer prompts. 🙏 Simply scroll down to the bottom of the page to find the prayer prompts for each month. You don’t have to be enrolled in the course to access the prompts, because we love you and want you to have access to this amazing resource. 💕
Magnets, Journals, & Other Goodies
If you haven’t checked out the NEW magnets, you should! They’re beautiful, they make great gifts, and they’re just what you need to hang up your child’s artwork or that appointment reminder on the fridge. 😉 We also have our new Powerful Prayers Journal (which also makes a great gift!) that you can use as a companion to your Scripture Writing Journal (or separately as well). Visit our Etsy shop to find the journals, magnets, and all the other goodies. 😄
