The July scripture writing plan is one we’ve planned for quite awhile – it’s super important – and really, it actually lays the foundation for every single other Bible study there is.
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine,
for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
that the man of God may be complete,
thoroughly equipped for every good work.
~2 Timothy 3:16-17 NKJV
Did you know that the phrase “given by inspiration of God” can also be translated “God breathed?” How interesting to think about that phrase in a time when none of us is too happy about anyone breathing on each other! #covid19
What does that phrase really mean for us? Basically, that God has given us all things we need to know in His Word (2 Peter 1:1-4). How is that possible?!? He gave His Word to His Son and His Son in turn sent the Holy Spirit to prophets and apostles (John 7:38-39) who then shared with us what was revealed to them (2 Peter 1:19-21).
This month’s theme is “The Inspiration of the Bible.” The verses in this plan will consist of Bible claims in which the writer will declare that what they write is the Word God. Are claims enough? The Bible claims to be the Word of God over 2,500 times! Some of our scriptures will point to other proofs as well.

Stay tuned this month for devotional thoughts from us Mangoes concerning the evidence of why we believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God. Follow our Facebook page for lessons related to the unity of the Bible, the accuracy found within the scriptures, its indestructibility, and the predicted prophecies that have come to pass. All of these topics (especially when studied in depth) should and will help build your faith in the Creator, in His Word, and in His promises for those who trust and obey Him.
It takes Bible study to grow our faith and to KNOW we KNOW the truth. The Bible IS enough (John 20:30-31). It contains all we need to know and our prayer is that we take each precious word to heart and joyfully practice the fruit of the Spirit given to us.
I’m not sure if this is the best way to contact you, but I have a question regarding July 5th’s scripture reference. Gen. 23:10, 26:24 didn’t make sense with the topic for this month to me. Is it right? Am I just not getting it?
Sarah – follow us on Facebook for updates like this! =)
Thanks or this month’s Scripture writing plan. I do have a question….On day 5….I’m not understanding the passage in Genesis 23:10 and how it goes along with the topic. Please explain so I can understand this better! Thanks!
Emily – are you following us on Facebook? I’m going to try to repost a link I put over there concerning the mystery on Day 5! 😉
