I think deep down, we all know we need rescuing. The tricky part is realizing WHY we need rescuing, and WHO we should seek to rescue us. If we aren’t rescued from sin, then we aren’t saved. If we’re seeking salvation from any source other than God, we will never truly be free. Join us this June for our NEW Scripture writing plan: Rescued.
This month’s plan will take us through the Red Sea as God saves the Israelites from Pharaoh’s army. We’ll read David’s words as he praises God for rescuing him from his enemies. We’ll see God’s promise to rescue His sheep, and we’ll encounter the Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ, who rescues us from sin.
Just like our topic of Broken Cisterns, Rescued points us to Jesus, the author of salvation. When we keep our eyes on our rescuer, we don’t have time to long for the idols of this world. We’re excited to start this new month’s topic!
Be sure to catch the latest episode of our Scripture Writing podcast. In addition to The Light Network (the easiest place to find our linked show notes), you can also find it on Apple Podcasts & Spotify. (FYI: Part 2 of Broken Cisterns was just released on 5/26 & then we’re taking a break for the summer. More details in the episode!)
If you’d like to pray along with our Rescued theme this month, be sure to check out our free Prayer Prompts, which are inside the Unshaken Scripture Writing Extras (scroll down to the Curriculum section to download for free). You can also find our playlists on Spotify or on Apple Music.
