Have you ever done something you would have been angry at someone else for doing? The answer is yes. It’s always yes. You know why? We all need mercy. As C.S. Lewis puts it in Mere Christianity, “We have failed to practise ourselves the kind of behaviour we expect from other people.” But thanks be to God that He is rich in mercy! 🙌 We serve a risen Savior who completely and perfectly embodies our merciful God.
Christ looked at us and said, “You deserve death, but I’ll die to give you life. You deserve hell, but I’ll destroy its power so you can have heaven. You deserve separation, but I’ll be separated from God on the cross so you can live with Him eternally.“
That’s what mercy looks like.
We invite you to join us as we write passages from God’s word that tell the story of our most merciful God.
