Christy is the wife of Josh Cook, congregational minister at the North Jackson Church of Christ in Jackson, Tennessee. They have been married almost 15 years and have five children: Canaan, Caia (pronounced like Kya), Carmody, Jude, and Jago (pronounced “Jaygo”).
Christy graduated from Freed-Hardeman University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Social Work. She went on to train in the U. S. Army where she became an x-ray tech. She has worked in healthcare for over 14 years. In the fall of 2017 she began teaching Health Sciences at Gibson County High School in Dyer, Tennessee.
She has been a Christian for over 20 years. She has participated in foreign missions to Fiji and France. She teaches regular Bible classes and has spoken at ladies’ days and retreats in Michigan, Georgia, Kentucky, and Tennessee.
Christy has a passion for writing and loves to read, scrapbook, and play games. She loves to travel and has visited 14 countries.
